During the design process we will hold three stages of non-statutory public consultation. The first public consultation took place in June/July 2019, where we asked for your feedback on the 'Study Area and Constraints', and presented our public consultation roadmap. All feedback received will be considered by the project team, and a Post-Consultation Report will be published on this website in the coming months.
The project team will consider the feedback and submissions in their development of potential route corridor options.
A second public consultation will then take place, where Route Corridor Options will be put on public display. We will invite feedback and submissions which will be considered by the project team before identifying an Emerging Preferred Route Corridor.
When an Emerging Preferred Route Corridor has been identified the route will go on public display during the third period of non-statutory public consultation. We will seek feedback and submissions which will be considered by the project team before finalising a Preferred Route Corridor.
A period of statutory consultation will occur when the project is submitted to An Bord Pleanála for planning approval.
In line with Article 6(3) of the Aarhus Convention, we have prepared a Project Consultation Roadmap, that outlines each stage of non-statutory public consultation, which can be viewed below.
